Can't believe I'm old enough to have been married 16 years this Friday, October 28th, 2011. I'm am so grateful and feel so blessed that God sent Nathaniel my way (Nathaniel means "gift from God",as Nate reminds me regulurly). But no marriage is perfect and its really a choice everyday, love is actually an action word not a fuzzy warm feeling in your tummy.
Human beings are imperfect creatures & most generally those things which made you "fall in love" with that person are those things which make you want to choke them to death. Therefor I reccomend inviting God into your marriage, with His guidelines in place there is somebody there to protect the two of you from each other - and whether you believe me or not now, there will be days you both need it. Alittle advice...
~SOONER OR LATER YOUR PARTNER WILL FAIL YOU, FORGIVE THEM & FORGET IT.
" and forgive us our sins,
as we have forgiven those who sin against us" MATTHEW 6:12
~WIVES TAKE PITY ON HIM, HE'S ONLY A MAN.
"Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” GENESIS 2:18
~HUSBANDS LOVE YOUR WIFE MORE THAN YOURSELF, CHIVALRY IS NOT DEAD. WIVES, LET THEM BE MEN.
2" For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23 For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church. 24 As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything.
25 For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her ..." EPHESIANS 5:22-25
~RAISE YOUR CHILDREN TO ANSWER TO A HIGHER AUTHORITY THAN YOU, TEACH THEM OF GOD'S PROMISES FOR THEM & PRAY LIKE HELL.
" Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord,[a] for this is the right thing to do. 2 “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise: 3 If you honor your father and mother, “things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.”[b]
4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord." EPHESIANS 6:1-4
